Project Description
Fiber Optic Pigtail
LC/UPC OM1-62.5/125; OM3,OM4-50/125
Lc mm pigtail is a fiber product to connect a fiber cable to a fiber coupler, it consists of a connector and a fiber optic cable. The pigtail is thin, the tail fiber cross-section is 8°angle inclined surface, and does not resist to high temperature, it will peel over 100℃.
Lc mm pigtail is mainly used to connect the optical fiber cable and the optical fiber transceiver (with coupler, connectors, etc. ). It usually appears in the fiber-optic terminal box and connects with other fiber-optic cores by fusion splicing, which can simplify the installation and maintenance of the cable system.
Generally pigtail includes single-mode and multi-mode. The single-mode pigtail has wavelengths of 1310nm and 1550nm, and transmission distances of 10km and 40km respectively. The multi-mode pigtail has a wavelength of 850nm and a transmission distance of 500m for short-distance interconnection. In transmission systems, there are four normal types of the pigtail, LC, SC, FC, ST. The shape and color of the connector must be the same as those of the corresponding jumper type.
