CAT6 STP connector RJ-45 (registered jack) connector is a standardized telecommunications network inter-connection, for providing voice and data transmission. The Bell System Universal Service Ordering Code (USOC) system defined the connector first time, and in the 1970s it was to provide computer-aided telephone equipment licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). They were subsequently incorporated into Chapter 47 of Part 68 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
